The award of the logo from Microsoft underscores Unicenter TNG's position as a premier management solution for corporations implementing Microsoft's platform and applications technology in large-scale, heterogeneous computing environments.

In qualifying for the "Designed for BackOffice" logo, Unicenter TNG met the following program requirements:

- Runs as a native 32-bit Microsoft Windows NT Server service. - Supports a full range of networking protocols. - Can be deployed using Microsoft Systems Management Server.

In addition to the minimum requirements, Unicenter TNG exceeds these requirements in the following areas:

- Can be deployed using Microsoft Systems Management Server, as well as Unicenter TNG's own software delivery capabilities.

- Provides an agent for managing Microsoft Exchange, and uses Microsoft's SQL Server as a data repository which further increases its appeal to corporate IT departments that are already implementing these Microsoft BackOffice technologies.

- Supports various APIs including ODBC, MAPI, WOSA APIs and Microsoft's Internet Server API (ISAPI).

- Announced support for Transaction Server, Windows NT 5.0, and Wolfpack.
