C3 Entertainment Brings ``The Three Stooges 75th Anniversary Special'' to NBC.

C3 Entertainment, Inc., the home of The Three Stooges Three Stooges

U.S. comedy team. It was originally formed as a vaudeville team in 1923 by brothers Moe and Shemp Howard (1897–1975, 1900–55), who performed with “Ted Healy and His Stooges.
, announced today it will produce a 75th Anniversary TV special to air on NBC NBC
 in full National Broadcasting Co.

Major U.S. commercial broadcasting company. It was formed in 1926 by RCA Corp., General Electric Co. (GE), and Westinghouse and was the first U.S. company to operate a broadcast network.
 this fall during November sweeps.

C3 is an entertainment company and will produce the special through its production arm, Comedy III Productions, Inc. The Three Stooges is the company's core property, has a unique depth of knowledge about the Stooges and has prior involvement with TV and movie production. C3 also publishes books, produced videos and markets The Three Stooges on a daily basis to the classic comedy trio's worldwide audience.

The TV special for NBC will be a hosted one hour special about all six of the Stooges -- Moe Howard, Larry Fine Larry Fine may be:
  • Larry Fine (actor) (1902-1975), American actor best known for being one of the Three Stooges
  • Larry Fine (pianos) (fl. c. 2000), American technician, consultant, and author
, Curly Howard Curly Howard (born Jerome Lester Horwitz) (October 22, 1903 – January 18, 1952), was one of the Three Stooges, along with brothers Moe Howard and Shemp Howard, and actor Larry Fine, although Curly was more or less the breakout character. , Shemp Howard Shemp Howard (March 04, 1895 [1] – November 22, 1955) was part of the Three Stooges comedy team. Born Samuel Horwitz, he was called "Shemp" because "Sam" came out that way in his mother's thick Jewish Lithuanian accent. , Joe Besser Joe Besser (August 12, 1907 – March 1, 1988) was an American comedian, known for his impish humor, and is now best remembered for his brief stint as part of the Three Stooges.  and Curly Joe Derita "Curly-Joe" DeRita (July 12, 1909 - July 3, 1993), born Joseph Wardell, was an American comedian who is best known as the "sixth" member of the Three Stooges. DeRita was born into a show business family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  -- and their work from vaudeville vaudeville (vôd`vĭl), originally a light song, derived from the drinking and love songs formerly attributed to Olivier Basselin and called Vau, or Vaux, de Vire.  to the movies to TV and into the digital entertainment age. The audience will also get some new glimpses into the lives of the Stooges from family members and other entertainers as they remember special private and professional moments.

The TV special is part of The Three Stooges 75th Anniversary celebration designed to showcase The Three Stooges' incredible talent, let the audience see more of the boys' personal lives and better understand the tremendous impact they had on the entertainment industry. The Three Stooges fall TV special and next year's major motion picture are just two entertainment events coming from The Three Stooges, who continue to enjoy global popularity, very high name recognition and a generational fan base.

C3 Entertainment, Inc. was originally founded as Comedy III Productions, Inc. in 1959 by the famous comedy team The Three Stooges(R) and is now a diversified entertainment company involved in television and motion picture production, retail sales and the licensing and merchandising of The Three Stooges(R) and other classic characters.
