C3 ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF ELTON R. VOGEL AS PRESIDENT AND CEO
HERNDON, Va., Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Fred Knoll, chairman of C3, Inc., (NASDAQ: CTHPP) a computer systems integrator, today announced that Elton R. Vogel has been appointed president and CEO. Anthony L. Craig, who had been president and CEO, resigned from these positions and the board of directors to pursue other interests.
For the last 23 years, Vogel has had significant executive management responsibilities in the information technology arena, including serving for the past two years as a member of C3's board of directors and as a consultant to the company. Previously, Vogel held senior positions with Pitney Bowes including vice president, controller and chief financial officer, and president of its Retail Systems and Business Supplies Group, a $500 million business with 5,500 employees worldwide. Prior to that, Vogel held controller and finance positions at Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
Knoll stated, "We are fortunate to have in Elton Vogel a man of extensive management experience and expertise in the information technology and services businesses, which combined with his leadership qualities, make him the perfect candidate to help us lead C3 into the future."
Founded in 1969, C3 products and systems have been cited for their outstanding performance during Operation Desert Storm. The company pioneered the development of Environmentally Indifferent Computing -- products that function under adverse weather conditions and in hostile environments. C3 recently announced the acquisition of Telos Corporation, making it a company with over 2,000 employees and sales of over $225 million.
Telos Corporation, founded 22 years ago, is headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif. Telos provides software development services, third party maintenance of computer equipment and software, and consulting services to commercial and government customers.
