LA CRESCENTA -- It was the first varsity home football game in Crescenta Valley The Crescenta Valley is a small inland valley in Los Angeles County, California. Its name derives from its crescent-like shape, with the convex portion facing roughly northeast and the concave portion southwest.  High's 48-year history, and the Falcons didn't disappoint.

Scott Thompson (born June 12, 1959) is a Canadian television comedian, best known for his time as a member of the comedy troupe Kids in the Hall.

Parker Haleen led the CV defense with three interceptions among the team's eight forced turnovers.

"Coach Stewart had us well-prepared. He went over every one of their plays, so nothing we saw surprised us," Haleen said. "It was our first time playing at home and you always want to represent on your home field."

The offense, as well as it has performed so far this season, did have some moments of struggle.

Thompson completed five of 11 passes for 108 yards. He twice connected with Clay Sierra on scoring strikes of 26 and 23 yards. Thompson's third touchdown was a 21-yarder to Cristian Goudeau.

Zarrillo was caught up in the excitement when he let senior kicker Rana Parsanj attempt a 61-yard field goal in the closing seconds of the first half. Parsanj had made a 45-yard attempt earlier, but this one fell short.

"Why not?" Zarrillo said. "He had the wind to his back, the crowd was pumped for it and he certainly was capable of making it."
