C.P. Clare announces organizational changes.

BEVERLY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 1997--C.P. Clare Corporation (NASDAQ:CPCL), announced today that Jacqueline D. Arthur, the Company's Vice President and Chief Financial Officer will be resigning from the Company. Ms. Arthur has indicated that she will be leaving the Company in order to spend more time with her family.

"Bob Palladino and Tom Sager will together assume the duties of chief financial officer in addition to their responsibilities as the Corporate Treasurer and the Corporate Controller, respectively," explained Arthur R. Buckland, President and Chief Executive Officer of C.P. Clare.

Separately, C.P. Clare announced the promotion of Hasan Rizvi to Vice President of Quality. "After an illustrious career at The Foxboro Company, Hasan has taken on the responsibility of implementing continuous improvement in product life cycles and business processes, utilizing Total Quality Management concepts," stated Arthur Buckland.

Michael Bohac was also promoted to the new position of Vice President of Information Technology to coordinate the continued implementation of the Company's rationalized information systems. "Mike will implement the information systems necessary to continue C. P. Clare's drive for efficiency and effectiveness," continued Buckland.
