C. W. Amos Business Services to Join National Firm RSM McGladrey; Combined Operation Will Provide Clients Access to Expanded Services, Resources.

C. W. Amos Business Services, with offices in Baltimore and Bethesda (Washington, D.C.), announced it has combined its practice with RSM McGladrey Inc., a Minneapolis-based national tax, accounting and consulting firm serving mid-sized businesses. RSM McGladrey has more than 70 offices and 2,300 employees in the United States and is the U.S. member of RSM International, the eighth largest accounting organization in the world, with 550 offices in 75 countries.

H&R Block Inc. had acquired certain operations of C. W. Amos & Company, LLC in April 1999 and formed C. W. Amos Business Services. The combined C.W. Amos Business Services and RSM McGladrey business includes the operations of Turner Pension Consulting, Annapolis, MD, which has provided pension consulting and administration services for over 25 years and was acquired by C. W. Amos in 1994. C. W. Amos & Company, LLC, which performs audits and related attest services, simultaneously combined its operations with McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, a Minneapolis-based, national CPA firm.
