C. Scott Litten appointed executive vice president-chief financial officer of Hills Stores Company.

Part of the Information Systems & Telecommunications Division of Hitachi Ltd. ) today announced that C. Scott Litten has been appointed executive vice president-chief financial officer.

Litten will have responsibility for the financial and management information systems departments of the company.

Litten, age 46, most recently held the chief financial officer position at Hechinger Stores Company, a chain of 64 home improvement stores based in Landover, Md. with sales in excess of one billion dollars. He has previously held chief financial officer positions at Family Dollar Stores Inc. and the Butler Group. A certified public accountant Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
