)-based solution integrates the Ellacoya Multimedia Service Manager (MSM MSM - Micronetics Standard MUMPS ), a PCMM-based Application Manager, with C-COR's Policy Service Manager, a PCMM-based Policy Server, to enable cable operators to create, activate and bill for new IP services.

C-COR and Ellacoya Networks are demonstrating the integrated solution at SCTE's Cable-Tec Expo this week in C-COR's Booth #8094. The companies are showcasing a PCMM-based, QoS-enabled gaming tier using Microsoft's Xbox Live See Xbox.  application. It shows the creation, activation and prioritization of the gaming application on a per-subscriber basis during periods of network congestion In data networking and queueing theory, network congestion occurs when a link or node is carrying so much data that its quality of service deteriorates.
