C-COR Expands OSS Solution With New Module Using SPATIALinfo's Network Configuration Management Software.

(Nasdaq:CCBL), a global provider of broadband communications products, software systems, and services, today announced the availability of a new application module, the Network Configuration Manager (NCM(TM)), under its Integrated Services Management (ISM(TM)) suite of operations support system (OSS) software solutions for broadband network operators. The NCM integrates network configuration management software from SPATIALinfo, a recognized network and spatial information software company with customers worldwide.

C-COR's new NCM product module allows customers to better manage network assets, resources, connectivity, and configurations from a single source. NCM is a network asset management and GIS software application that captures, edits, and displays both inside and outside (HFC) plant network information. All network assets (from the headend to the subscriber) are captured from existing spreadsheets, Visio drawings, and other CAD systems in use today. The network assets are then intelligently interpolated and displayed graphically (branch and tree) or spatially (layered maps). Further, NCM provides automation tools that intuitively manage updates to ensure the accuracy and integrity of ongoing changes to the network topology.

NCM and two other major application modules--the Network Service Manager (NSM(TM)) and the Mobile Workforce Manager (MWM(TM))--together form an integrated and comprehensive OSS solution under C-COR's ISM software suite. The NCM plays a vital role within the ISM in that it represents the actual configuration of the network-- a fundamental requirement for performing accurate fault management within C-COR's Network Service Manager application module.
