C&W names top 10 brokers.

Cushman & Wakefield announced its Top 10 Producers in the nation based on transactions completed in 2001. The company employs more than 850 brokerage professionals in 56 offices throughout the United States. In 2001, eight of the Top 10 brokerage professionals were based in the New York area, along with one each in Houston and Washington, D.C.

For the third consecutive year, Edward Weiss (New York) was ranked No. 1 in the nation, followed by John Cefaly, Tarn Stacom, Mitchell Konsker, Paul Glickman (all of New York), Tim Relyea (Houston), Audrey Cramer (Washington, D.C.), Matthew Astrachan (New York), Robert Donnelly and Marc Rosenberg (both of Parsippany, N:J.).

"These professionals set the standard of service that we strive for globally," said Bruce E. Mosler, C&W's president of U.S. operations. "In a difficult year, these people had in many instances their best year ever."

For 2001, C&W conducted more than 12,973 real estate transactions globally, totaling more than 280 million SF and valued at $37.8 billion.

For the third consecutive year Edward J. Weiss, an executive vice president, Board of Directors member and 25-year C&W veteran, has earned the distinction as the firm's top producer. Throughout his career he has handled significant leasing and sales transactions for clients such as the Archdiocese of New York, Dime Savings Bank, Forbes, KPMG Peat Marwick, Reich & Tang, Meredith Corporation, Shearman & Sterling, and Siemens Capital.

One of the country's most prominent and accomplished brokerage professionals, Cefaly, a vice chairman, has consistently been among C&W's top five producing brokers worldwide over the past 13 years. A C&W veteran for more than 30 years, Cefaly is chairman of the firm's National Brokerage Advisory Board, and is a member of the firm's Board of Directors and Global Management Committee.

Stacom, an executive director, has consistently ranked among C&W's top 25 brokers. She began with C&W in 1980 and is co-leader of a 25-member brokerage team located in the firm's midtown Manhattan office. Throughout her career she has attained nationwide recognition, having leased more than 12 million SF.

Konsker is an executive director and has been a real estate professional for more than 17 years. He is widely recognized as one of the leaders in the real estate industry and has negotiated all types of real estate transactions throughout the nation on behalf of tenants and landlords. He is co-leader of a 25-member brokerage team in the firm's Midtown Manhattan office.

Glickman, an executive director, is widely recognized as one of the real estate industry's most active brokerage professionals. He has been among the top 25 producing brokers world wide for the past 4 consecutive years. Mr. Glickman is a co-leader of a 25 person brokerage team in the firm's Midtown Manhattan office. He has been instrumental in negotiating many of Manhattan's largest and most complex leasing transactions and involved in more than 6 million square feet of building agencies for property owners including Equity Office Properties, GE Capital Investment Advisors and KippStawski Group.

Over 17 years, Glickman has developed and maintained relationships with some of the nation's leading financial service corporations, law firms, publishing, computer and entertainment companies, including Citigroup, AXA Client Services/Equitable Life Assurance Society, OSL Shipping & Development, Superior Bank FSB, Philips Electronics North America, Inc. and United Nations Development Corporation.

Matthew R. Astrachan is a senior director in C&W's midtown Manhattan office. With more than 10 years in the real estate industry, he specializes in leasing and sales transactions in the metropolitan area and nationally, and his achievements have already positioned him as one of the leading brokers in the nation. Astrachan has been involved in many of C&W's largest tenant representation assignments since joining the firm in 1997.

Donnelly, executive vice president, joined C&W as a broker in 1979 and opened the company's Parsippany office in 1984. He has been the number one leasing broker in New Jersey for more than 10 years and consistently ranks among the company's Top 10 brokers nationwide.

Donnelly specializes in tenant representation, working for Fortune 50 companies throughout the United States and worldwide. In addition, he has worked for many of New Jersey's leading landlords in both the acquisition and leasing of significant commercial properties.

Rosenberg has been named to Cushman & Wakefield Inc.'s annual listing of its Top 100 performers nationwide since the program began more than 10 years ago and has ranked in the Top 10 brokers nationally in each of the last six years.

For the past eight years, Rosenberg and his partner have been Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey's top producing brokers.
