C&W names 8 top performers.

Cushman & Wakefield has named eight New Jersey brokers among its Top 100 performers in the country based on transactions completed in 2003.

Investment sales professionals Andrew J. Merin and David W. Bernhaut were the top two financial services group brokers out of 115 nationally. This was the eighth time Merin was the leading FSG brokerage professional in the past 11 years, and the second consecutive year for Bernhaut. Also among the top producers were Frank V. Caccavo Jr., Robert J. Donnelly, Gary Gabriel, Jeffrey L. Heller, Leonard (Lee) T. Miller Jr. and Marc A. Rosenberg.

Andrew J. Merin is executive vice president of the metropolitan area FSG and a member of Cushman & Wakefield's board of directors. He is responsible for FSG activity in Northern New Jersey, Long Island, Westchester and Fairfield counties. Since 1992, he has been involved in more than $6 billion of sales transactions, including office, industrial and retail sales.

David Bernhaut, a Cushman & Wakefield broker for 16 years, serves as an executive vice president for FSG. He has consistently ranked among the top five brokers in New Jersey from 1994 through 2003 and in the top five for the financial services group nation-wide. He currently serves on Cushman & Wakefield's national brokerage advisory board.

Gary Gabriel, an executive director with FSG, has been one of Cushman & Wakefield's top producers for the past five years. He joined the metropolitan area FSG in 1994 and has orchestrated more than $3.5 billion in transactions on behalf of clients such as First Industrial Realty Trust, JP Morgan, TA Associates Realty, Ivy Equities and Crow Holdings.

Robert J. Donnelly, executive vice president, has consistently ranked among Cushman & Wakefield's Top 10 brokers nationwide and was number one in New Jersey for ten consecutive years. He joined the company as a broker in 1979 and opened the Parsippany office in 1984. Donnelly was promoted to his current position in 2000, becoming the first individual based outside the company's headquarters to receive this title, and the third among Cushman & Wakefield's more than 11,000 professionals worldwide. He is a member of the firm's board of directors.

Marc A. Rosenberg has been a Cushman & Wakefield broker for 19 years in the Parsippany office. He has been named to the firm's annual listing of Top 100 performers since the program began more than 10 years ago and has ranked in the Top 10 brokers nationally for eight consecutive years.

Jeffrey L. Heller is executive director of the brokerage services group. He has worked consistently as a tenant representative for prestigious clients, including New York Life, Tiffany & Company and Verizon. His ownership representation includes Advance Realty Group, Schenkman & Kushner and Exxon.

Frank V. Caccavo, Jr. joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1989 and today serves as an executive director, specializing in industrial sales and leasing. He consistently achieves Top 100 ranking nationally, as well as Top 10 industrial for Cushman & Wakefield. During 2003, he negotiated the sale/lease of more than 3 million s/f, including sales for Sony, Circuit City and Tyco.

Caccavo was also appointed in 2003 to market the 334,175 s/f Meadowlands Distribution Center in Carlstadt, N.J.

Leonard T. Miller, Jr., senior director of brokerage services/corporate accounts, has been affiliated with Cushman & Wakefield for more than 17 years. He specializes in the management of corporate accounts and commercial real estate consulting and brokerage assignments throughout North America and Europe. This is the second year that Miller has attained the Top 100. He was responsible for more than one million s/f of assignments in 2003 alone.
