C&W's new NY chief shares experience.

Richard "Rick" Donahue, the recently appointed New Yorkbranch manager for Cushman & Wakefield, said he is not looking to effect major changes. Fresh from the trenches of brokerage, Donahue said the best thing he can offer the company's brokers, appraisers and property managers is his perspective on what it's like to be in the field.

"I can come up with creative solutions based on my own experience," said Donahue who as a Cushman & Wakefield branch manager will not directly participate in deal making.

In particular, he said, he can offer tips on closing deals and approaching new clients.

Donahue has been with Cushman & Wakefield since 1973. His recent leasing agency assignments included Americas Tower at 1177 Sixth Avenue. Other agency assignments have included: 780 Third Avenue and 521 Fifth Avenue. Among the tenants he has represented are: Paine Webber Paine Webber and Company was an American stock brokerage firm that was acquired by the Swiss bank UBS AG in 2000.
