C&M Provides Family of Rugged, Low-loss, RF Shielded Coax Cables for Wireless Industry.

WAUREGAN, Conn. -- C&M Corporation, a manufacturer of high-performance cables and assemblies for worldwide markets, now provides the wireless industry with a family of rugged, low-loss, RF-shielded, communications coax cables.

The new CM-HPC low-loss coax family is constructed of low-cost materials and features an overall tinned copper braided shield. Optional jacket materials such as PVC PVC: see polyvinyl chloride.

Synthetic resin, an organic polymer made by treating vinyl chloride monomers with a peroxide.
, LSZH LSZH Low Smoke Zero Halogen (cable) , and polyethylene (UV resistant & abrasion resistant) can be made available. In addition to the controlled electrical properties, CM-HPC coaxes are an economical choice for both indoor and outdoor uses.

CM-HPC 195 features a bare copper center conductor (19 AWG (American Wiring Gauge) A U.S. measurement standard of the diameter of non-ferrous wire, which includes copper and aluminum. In general, the thicker the wire, the greater the current-carrying capacity and the longer the distance it can span. ), a gas-injected foam polyolefin insulation, dual shielding, and an 80% nominal velocity of propagation "VoP" redirects here. VoP may also refer to Voice of Prophecy.
Velocity of Propagation (VoP) or velocity factor is a parameter that characterizes the speed at which an electrical signal (e.g. radio or audio) passes through a medium.
. CM-HPC 195 is a more efficient, cost-effective replacement for RG 58 and RG 142 coaxial cables.

CM-HPC 400A features a copper clad aluminum conductor (10AWG), a gas-injected foam polyolefin insulation, dual shielding and an 80% nominal velocity of propagation. CM-HPC 400A is a low-cost replacement for RG 8 and RG 213 coaxial cables.

The CM-HPC family is ideal for antenna feeders and jumper cables for wireless communication. Other uses include WLL See wireless local loop and PHS-WLL. , GPS, and mobile antenna applications requiring low-loss RF cable. In addition, the product family can be UL-listed and CSA-certified if required.
