C&M Offers Industrial Grade RoHS Compliant Duralon(TM) Jacket Material.

WAUREGAN, Conn. -- C&M Corporation, a manufacturer of high-performance cables and assemblies for worldwide markets, now offers customers the option of RoHS compliant industrial-grade Duralon(TM) jacket material specifically designed for rugged industrial applications. The Duralon(TM) jacket is formulated to withstand sunlight and most oils, chemicals, acids, and fuels found within factory environments.

Duralon(TM) jackets are conducive to semi-automated and fully-automated assembly and manufacturing environments. Duralon(TM) jackets may be utilized in industrial markets such as plating operations, chemical plants, machine shops and refineries as oil-resistant control and signal cables, tray cables and power-limited tray cables.

Duralon(TM) is a proprietary formulation of a thermoplastic elastomer alloy with a matte finish that looks and feels like rubber and is flexible enough for high flex, C-track, rolling flex, and bend flex applications for tens of millions of cycles. Additionally, Duralon(TM) jacket material can be used in temperatures ranging from -24(degree)C to +105(degree)C and is flame retardant.

Cables constructed with a Duralon(TM) jacket meet the performance standards for tray cable per UL 1277, Power Limited Tray Cable (PLTC PLTC - People Living Through Cancer
PLTC - Power Limited Tray Cable
) per UL 13 and Appliance Wiring Material (AWM AWM - Awaiting Maintenance
