, under which those organizations will standardize on RVSI's recently introduced Visionscape(TM) platform for its matched mailing service offering. C&G Engineering has thus far placed orders for approximately $1.0 million of products from RVSI.

Presort Services is a provider of direct response and mailing services, including "matched mailings" in which personalized solicitations are matched with individually addressed envelopes. C&G Electronic Engineering provides system engineering of direct mail systems to other mailing firms. C&G Electronic Engineering has already installed RVSI's Visionscape product at its facilities in California, Ohio California, Ohio is a small neighborhood in the city of Cincinnati. "Visionscape is perfect for our application," said Joe Smith, Vice President of Product Development at C&G Electronic Engineering. "Each Data Matrix code stores a great deal of information, yet it is so small that it disappears on the letter. With Visionscape's ability to read Data Matrix codes rapidly, we're able to implement systems in a very cost-effective manner."

Data Matrix codes, which resemble small checkerboards, are found on an increasing number of products. Unlike one-dimensional bar codes, which can hold only a relative handful of characters identifying a manufacturer and product identification numbers, a Data Matrix mark can encode an order of magnitude A change in quantity or volume as measured by the decimal point. For example, from tens to hundreds is one order of magnitude. Tens to thousands is two orders of magnitude; tens to millions is three orders of magnitude, etc.  more information, including alphanumeric data. "Presort Services' decision to offer Visionscape and Data Matrix technology to other mailing houses through its C&G Electronic Engineering division is a tremendous validation of our products and technology," said Mark Tatkow, Vice President of Sales for RVSI Acuity CiMatrix. "For both organizations, it means being able to offer a competitive product with higher performance for their customers. This commitment from Presort Services underscores the fact that Visionscape is an extremely versatile platform for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  and end user machine vision applications. One of their first customers, Morrow-Macke, Inc. already has two, four-camera systems in place and two more systems on order."
