BEDWORTH now boasts its own computer centre.

The Byte (BinarY TablE) The common unit of computer storage from desktop computer to mainframe. It is made up of eight binary digits (bits). A ninth bit may be used in the memory circuits as a parity bit for error checking.  Centre, based at Bedworth College, off Newtown Road, operates as an open learning centre where people can learn when they want and how they want.

Richard Taylor, manager, said: "The Byte Centre is the logical extension of what we are trying to achieve on the local patch - supplying a friendly community facility where people can study at the pace and ability to suit themselves.

"We can offer a range of computer or information technology programmes from beginners studying for fun, through to those looking to gain a recognised qualification."

The programme offer includes internet and e-mail, word processing word processing, use of a computer program or a dedicated hardware and software package to write, edit, format, and print a document. Text is most commonly entered using a keyboard similar to a typewriter's, although handwritten input (see pen-based computer) and  and spreadsheets The following is a list of spreadsheets.
