With more than 38 years in the research and development field, John Yates has worked mainly in synthetic organic chemistry on a wide variety of areas including dyestuffs and textile auxiliaries as well as pharmaceuticals, photoinitiators and mining chemicals.

For the last ten years John's career has focused on biocides and his last position included working within a consumer anti-microbial team. John has also held research and development positions with ICI, Astra Zeneca, Avecia and Arch Chemicals. With extensive experience across these organisations, John is fully equipped to add real benefit to Byotrol's commitment to continued research and development.
