ESTHER McVEY and actress Pauline Fleming joined dog owners for the recent "Hilbre Triple". Organised by the Wirral and Merseyside branch of Pets As Therapy (PAT) Dogs, the triple - a sponsored walk around the three Hilbre Islands - helped raise much-needed funds for the charity.

Staycity.com group launched its Stayliver pool.com serviced apartments recently with a party at its prestigious Lever Court development, in Duke Street.

Guests were treated to a champagne reception, followed by cocktails served in various marquees around the courtyard of the Lever Court complex. The Cuban-themed event then continued into the evening at La Cubanita restaurant.

Gusto at the Albert Dock was the venue for Downtown Liverpool in Business's latest members reception dinner. Over 30 of Liverpool's key business people met up for dinner in the informal, yet stunning, dockland setting.

The recent Bold Street Festival was a huge success as crowds turned out to participate in the DJ sessions, tai chi and salsa classes.

Juice FM's Leanne Campbell hosted a charity baby shower last week to raise funds for Zoe's Place Children's Hospice. With friends including Stephen Fletcher and Lindzi Germain providing the entertainment and more than 150 women in attendance, it was an eventful and enjoyable afternoon.

For mby Hall was the perfect setting for Jospice's fourth annual golf day. A host of Liver pool legends teamed up to play alongside 15 other teams to raise money for the St Joseph House Association.

Jockey Francis Norton was among the famous faces who supported the event, helping to raise over pounds 8,000 for the charity.
