service aimed at reducing the cost of constructing new fiber routes, wireless networks, and central offices throughout the US and internationally.

Under the terms of the agreement, Byers Engineering Company and bandwidth.com will co-manage the new service jointly designed by both companies. The co-build matchmaking service is specifically targeted to provide the telecommunications industry a new and innovative tool to identify potential partners interested in the co-construction of a variety of network facilities and infrastructure. Initially, several very specific co-construction and partnering opportunities will be targeted. This will include partnering on inter-state, intra-state, and intra-city fiber routes, wireless infrastructure, and co-construction of central offices.

This service will create more attractive business models for large scale network projects through co-construction, co-ownership, and by identifying potential partners who have similar needs through one centralized cen·tral·ize

There are additional services planned in the near future that include cooperative building entrance opportunities and other services designed to reduce engineering and construction costs for the carrier market.

The co-build matchmaking service will be accessed through bandwidth.com and will be an addition to bandwidth.com's already successful online brokering service of wholesale high bandwidth (T1's to OC192's) for carriers and large corporate clients and DSL DSL
