By all means Charley, by all means; and various other modes of transport Back on his bike...NO longer just famous for being Ewan McGregor's mate, Charley Boorman has well and truly found his feet as an adventurer and travel writer. In fairness, he had already gained stardom, through roles in films such as The Emerald Forest, The Serpent's Kiss and The Bunker, long before he ever got on his bike and set off round the world with Ewan in Long Way Round. Ewan McGregor may have given up round the world biking adventures for the time being, but it seems there is no stopping Charley. Last year he went solo for a series that saw him travel 20,000-miles through 25 different countries, using more than 100 forms of public transport on the arduous journey. Now he returns for more in this second series, which sees the actor and adventurer take to the road once again, using local transport to get him to his desired location. This latest series sees Charley set out to travel from Australia to Japan following the Pacific Rim Pacific Rim, term used to describe the nations bordering the Pacific Ocean and the island countries situated in it. In this first of six episodes he leaves Sydney with a large biker convoy as he travels up the east coast of Australia on his way to Byron Bay. He also gets the chance to experience life with the Royal Flying Doctors as they visit their Aboriginal outback clinics, before he flies up the Cape York Noun 1. Cape York - the northern tip of Cape York Peninsula at the Torres Strait; the northernmost point of the Australian mainland Australia, Commonwealth of Australia - a nation occupying the whole of the Australian continent; Aboriginal tribes are thought to peninsular on a Marine Survey plan and heads over to Papua New Guinea. Along the way, he gets inside the cockpit of a replica Spitfire, visits tomorrow, communities deep within the jungle with an anthropologist and tries his hand at cattle mustering on horseback on the back of a horse; mounted or riding on a horse or horses; in the saddle.
