Scanning up to 76 images per minute in color, the DocuMate 262i is a sheetfed scanner that's small enough to fit on a desktop. "This model offers very good overall ease of use, media-handling capabilities and bundled software (1) Applications that are included with new hardware. For example, a new PC often comes with several applications, many of which may be light versions or full versions with no limit on usage. Others may be only 60- or 90-day trial packages. Priced at $1,195, the Xerox DocuMate 262i incorporates the convenient Visioneer OneTouch([R]) scanning with Kofax([R]) VRS (Video Relay Service) A communications service for the hearing or speech impaired. A VRS is the video counterpart of a TTY relay service, in which the user types on a terminal, and the relay operator speaks the messages to the recipient (see TDD/TTY). [TM] (Virtual ReScan([R])) technology, which automatically improves the image quality of faded or degraded original documents.
