Hantgan has more than 12 years of experience in real estate development and investment. Prior to joining Buttonwood Real Estate, he served as president of Esquire Properties, Inc.

It comprises 13 schools and colleges, maintaining 4 main centers (including the Medical Center) in the city, as well as the  and a J.D. from Tulane University. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, the International Council of Shopping Centers The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is an international trade association of the shopping center industry. The organization, founded in 1957, has 65,000 members worldwide, which include shopping center owners, developers and managers, as well as other individuals,  and the New York and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
