Butterfly connection; Biz Bureau.

Byline: Tricia Phillips

Dear Biz

I HAVE just started making what I call Butterfly butterfly, any of a large group of insects found throughout most of the world; with the moths, they comprise the order Lepidoptera. There are about 12 families of butterflies. Most adult moths and butterflies feed on nectar sucked from flowers.  Betty necklaces in bright acrylic acrylic, artificial fiber made from a special group of vinyl compounds, primarily acrylonitrile. When I wear them, people really seem to like them. Can you give me any ideas on how to boost my sales? I'm thinking of setting up my own website, too.

IT WOULD be good to have your own site but, unless you know how to design websites or have a friend who does, it can be expensive to get one up and running. Promoting a site can be costly, too, as it is very difficult to get good listings on search engines for nothing these days.

You've done well getting your products on to existing sites. Try to get them on to some of the better known gift sites - those that spend money promoting themselves.

If, as you say, you get a positive response from people when you're out and about, craft fairs may be good places to push your products.

Contact local gift and clothes shops, too, and try to persuade them to stock your products.

If you offer them on a sale-orreturn basis to begin with, it means they won't have to take any risks. If the items prove popular, you should receive repeat orders.
