Butler Manufacturing increases dividend 20%; Marks third consecutive annual dividend increase.

(inc. 1850). , MO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 1996--The board of directors of Butler Manufacturing Company voted a 20% increase in its cash dividend to a new annual rate of $.48 per share.

The quarterly dividend of $.12 per share, is an increase from the $.10 per share previously paid, and will be payable on October October: see month.  11, 1996 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on September September: see month.  27, 1996.
