Busted blend is big hit with teen crowd; LIVE REVIEW.Byline: KATH KATH Katholisch (German: Catholic) KATH Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (Kumasi, Ghana) BENNETT CHEERS and screams echoed around the Clyde Auditorium before Busted had even arrived on stage. With low-slung guitars and wholesome good looks, the band had won the crowd without singing a note. Opening with chart-topping hit You Said No, the pop-rock sensations had their teenage fans shrieking with excitement. Egged on by Matt, even the parents present happily chanted the lyrics to the band's first big hit - What I Go To School For. The promise of being on the next single was too big a chance to pass up - surprisingly the keyed- up audience sang in tune and needed no accompaniment. The gig had its dodgy dodgy - Synonym with flaky. Preferred outside the US moments - Charlie standing in a Christ-like pose bathed in white light being a prime example. Blink 182 they are not - but Busted have brought something new to the British music scene. Charlie's bushy bush·y adj. bush·i·er, bush·i·est 1. Overgrown with bushes. 2. Thick and shaggy: a bushy head of hair. eyebrows aside, as teen music goes, this band might have what it takes to last. |
