Busker strikes a chord to win cash help.


A LIVERPOOL singer and songwriter has received a welcome financial boost after thousands voted for her on music website, Go Busker.

Kate Clague is a Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) is a school in the English city of Liverpool that offers training in Acting, Dance, Music, Sound Technology, Arts Management, Technical Theatre, and Theatre Design.  (LIPA) graduate, who hopes to follow alumni like Sandi Thom with her rousing country style.

And, thanks to her association with Go Busker, she has received pounds 500 to take her sound into the studio. On hearing the news, Kate, 21, said: "I was privileged enough not only to be nominated for a Busker Bursary bur·sa·ry

"By being nothing more than myself and playing my music, I have won pounds 500 to spend on building my musical career, no strings attached.

Go Busker hands out a no strings attached cash bursary each month to upand-coming artists, with members voting on who they feel is most deserving.
