To be named a Netcool Ready Outsourcer, BusinessEdge Solutions had to demonstrate expertise in Netcool implementations, show vertical market expertise in Next Generation OSS Solutions, participate in the development of Netcool software integrations with Micromuse-approved software and/or hardware companies, and provide Netcool/Software Developers Kit(TM) (Netcool/SDK(TM)) training.

BusinessEdge's velOSSity Initiative

This announcement underscores a growing relationship between the two companies - in December 2000, Micromuse joined BusinessEdge Solutions velOSSity program. velOSSity, an OSS reference platform demonstrating best-of-breed package solutions, brings together the industry's leading application and hardware vendors to collaborate on OSS innovation and provide end-to-end solutions for the communications industry. In velOSSity, BusinessEdge Solutions has integrated Micromuse's flagship Netcool/OMNIbus(TM) application and the Netcool/Impact(TM) application with other OSS systems that support inventory, provisioning and customer care. Through this integration, Netcool-captured events are enriched with provisioning and customer data thereby providing relevant information for technicians and customer support staff to assess the criticality of a fault event.

Solution Implemented at Cbeyond Communications

In January 2001, BusinessEdge Solutions and Micromuse joined forces to deliver these integrated solutions to mutual-client Cbeyond Communications.
