Senator Pressler has had a distinguished career, both in Government and in the private sector. He served as a Member of Congress for 22 years, authoring the Telecommunications Act of 1996, as well as various aviation, pipeline, transportation, satellite, foreign policy, business and trade legislation. During his tenure in the Senate, Pressler served on various committees, including Commerce, Finance, Banking and Small Business. Prior to has election to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1974 and to the U.S. Senate in 1978, Mr. Pressler had been a McKinsey & Company business consultant, and spent three years as a government lawyer for the U.S. State Department, working on economic, business and trade issues. David Jones is President of DWJ Consulting, Inc., based in Washington, D.C. David's clients have included Minority Leader Richard Gephardt and he has served as an advisor to N.Y. Congressman Charles Rangel. David recently served as Co-Chairman of the America's Millennium Leadership Committee, an organization created by the White House Millennium Council, the Smithsonian Institution and the City of Washington, D.C. He also serves on the Executive Board of the American Council of Young Political Leaders, a USIA sponsored program that organizes bipartisan, bilateral international exchanges. Campaigns and Elections Magazine selected him as a Rising Star in American Politics in 1998 and one of America's Top Political Action Leaders in 1996.
