Business in Sussex, says Weichert.

John G. Udell, Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc. President, is pleased to announce that Weichert Commercial Brokerage has recently completed a large amount of transactions in Sussex County New Jersey and also has been chosen as the exclusive broker to market many properties in the county.

In the past six months, Weichert Commercial Senior Vice President Kevin Hanlon has listed 12 properties and sold or leased 11 properties.

"Sussex County has become a popular location for businesses in the last few years," Udell said. "With the exodus of people out of urban areas and into rural locations, there is suddenly a large and available workforce in the county. In addition, those moving their families to Sussex County are also looking to relocate their businesses closer to home."

Out of the 11 deals that Hanlon has completed, five of those deals have dealt with industrial properties. The five industrial properties range in size from 1,700 sq. ft. to 44,000 sq. ft.

In Lafayette, N J, Hanlon leased two flex units, a 1,700 sq. ft. space was leased to a local automotive distributor and a 5,600 sq. ft. unit was leased to The Star Ledger to be used as its county distribution center. Another 8,060 sq. ft. flex unit was leased to an Italian importer in Sparta, NJ. In addition, a 20,000 sq. ft. industrial building in Franklin, NJ was sold to a local developer.

The remaining six deals that Hanlon completed in the last six months involved the sale or lease of office properties. Two properties were leased in Sparta, NJ. In Franklin, NJ, Hanlon leased an additional two properties to Progressive Fitness Centers and aClear Channel Broadcasting.

To complete the extensive list of transactions, Hanlon also sold two buildings in Newton, NJ. He sold a 5,000 sq. ft. property, which will be used by the purchaser, and a 20,000 sq. ft. building, which was purchased by a developer.

Hanlon is currently offering a wide range of properties for sale and lease throughout the county. According to Hanlon, there are so many properties available in Sussex County that it is possible to meet the needs of almost every client.

Currently, Hanlon is marketing 12 properties, which range from 4,500 sq. ft. office buildings to 69,992 sq. ft. industrial investment properties.

"The large amount of available land and the low taxes in Sussex County, will continue to entice new businesses into the county," Hanlon said. "It is one of the few counties in the state that is close to New York City and offers businesses enough open land to erect a new building or the option of choosing from the wide-array of already existing buildings to buy or lease."
