Sepracor report

MARLBORO - Shares of drug developer Sepracor Inc. were flat yesterday as a Goldman Sachs analyst raised his price target and earnings estimates, but said a marketing deal for insomnia treatment Lunesta does not remove his concerns about the drug's decreasing market share. Sepracor said Tuesday GlaxoSmithKline PLC will market Lunesta outside of North America and Japan, using the name Lunivia. Sepracor will get up to $155 million in license and milestone payments under the agreement, as well as royalties. James Kelly increased his earnings per share estimates from 2007 through 2010, and raised his price target to $32 per share from $30. However, while prices may be solid in the second half of 2007, prescriptions of Lunesta have been weaker than he expected. Lunesta sales have been growing slowly this year, and Kelly said there is little evidence the drug's market share is stabilizing. (Associated Press)
