"(Entrepreneurs) make a lot of common mistakes over and over again," says Graham Clayton, director of the Institute of Global Entrepreneurship and Electronic Commerce at the college. Clayton says under-financing, not doing their homework and a lack of management skills are just a few of the mistakes that entrepreneurs make when starting out. With the help of small teams of college staff, Confederation College has written The Entrepreneur entrepreneur (än'trəprənûr`) [Fr.,=one who undertakes], person who assumes the organization, management, and risks of a business enterprise. and the Business Idea, Business Planning and Finances, Small Business Finance, Starting a Business Relationship, Development and Maintenance and Youth Entrepreneurship. All six books are on the market and can be purchased at the college, through Productive Productions or online. Clayton says the books are "easy reads," and straight-forward so that anyone can understand them. The college has done small-business management training in Paraguay, is in its seventh year of training in the Ukraine and 10 years in Poland.
