Business benefits for green companies.


BUSINESSES are being invited to attend a free interactive workshop on how cutting carbon emissions can save costs.

The Carbon Trust is holding a one-day Energy Management Workshop at Venue Cymru Venue Cymru is a large arts venue in Llandudno North Wales incorporating a 1,500 seat theatre, restaurant, conference centre and arena. The venue was previously known as the North Wales Theatre and the North Wales Conference Centre.  in Llandudno on Tuesday, June 16.

The capital is Cardiff.  helped organisations across Wales to save over pounds 29 million last year alone and this workshop will offer practical advice from understanding your energy bill and monitoring energy consumption to how best to reduce your carbon footprint A carbon footprint is the total amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases emitted over the full life cycle of a product or service. .

Mike Batt, manager of Carbon Trust Wales, said: "Introducing energy efficiency practices in the workplace can save businesses up to 20% on their power bills."

Cathryn Williams of AVOW (Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham), said she had attended the free workshop last summer and found it very useful: "We were shown how to decipher seemingly energy bills and were given lots of little hints to reduce the amount of energy we use in the workplace," she added.
