In addition, Business Wire releases are now posted on AFP's main website, www.afp.com, marking the first time that a major international news service has made third-party, original-text content accessible via its home page.

The agreement builds upon AFP's unprecedented decision in October 2004 to open up its widely respected Asia-Pacific network to Business Wire. The breakthrough arrangement marked the first time in AFP's storied 170-year history that an independent news provider was granted access to the agency's dedicated distribution platform.

Earlier this year, the two global news services announced an expanded relationship that enabled AFP media and financial service subscribers in its key markets of France, Belgium and Luxembourg to access Business Wire's European copy.

"We were already providing Business Wire with access to several areas of the world. We are now pleased to widen this access to our European network, opening our core market to its customers," said Pierre Taillefer, AFP's Executive News Director.

"Today's announcement represents a natural progression of our excellent working relationship with one of the world's most prestigious news organizations," said Cathy Baron Tamraz, Business Wire's president. "It is particularly rewarding to note that AFP subscribers have reacted very positively to the availability of the Business Wire feed. We are gratified grat·i·fy
