Security and brand extension were two additional topics tackled by customer and industry analyst panelists in specialized business sessions, which zeroed in on the bottom-line value speech brings to business. Sessions focused on using speech to cut costs, improve customer satisfaction, increase automation and simplify information access featured leading companies including Delta Airlines, Merrill Lynch, AT&T Wireless, Charles Schwab, Sun, and Oracle.

Also at V-World 2003, winners of the first annual Nuance Voice Industry Awards were announced. Diversified financial services company Strong Financial Corporation was honored as the Business Value category winner.
