The company also announced today the appointment of Mike O'Neill as senior vice president of the company's structured digital products business unit. In his new role, O'Neill will be responsible for leading the company's expanding structured digital business that will include the integration of the Flextronics digital business upon close of the acquisition. He will also continue to extend the company's leadership position in FPGA-to-ASIC conversions with innovative structured digital technologies and methodologies focusing those activities to help customers maximize profitability and minimize time-to-market.

O'Neill's experience covers a lengthy career in the semiconductor industry, spanning more than 15 years. He was most recently a general partner at Kodiak Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm focused on communications/IT, semiconductor and software investments. O'Neill has also served in senior engineering and management positions at Conexant Systems, Philsar Semiconductor and IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) .
