Through the program slated for introduction in San Diego and Dallas/Fort Worth test markets this summer, CBS clients can avoid costly overnight delivery charges by having company payroll checks printed at local MBE locations for convenient pick up.

"This distribution agreement between CBS and MBE merges the advantages of clicks and bricks. CBS Payroll clients can now use the latest in Internet technology to process the payroll, but still have the convenience of a local outsourced payroll provider," said CBS Payroll President Micheal Sykes. "Business owners can now have all of the benefits and features of a national payroll provider without the expense of overnight delivery."

Upon providing payroll information by phone, fax, modem, or Internet to CBS, CBS Payroll customers can elect to have payroll checks printed at their local MBE location. The selected MBE center will receive an electronic notice indicating that checks and business reports are in the queue. An MBE associate will print customers' payroll reports and checks, using CBS check stock for payroll checks and direct deposit stubs. Employers can pick up the confidential payroll package from an MBE center at their convenience.
