The Business Opportunity Series and Expo (BOSS), to be held at the Atrium Hotel in Irvine on Feb. 4, 2006, will help many Southern Californians realize this goal by showcasing the different startup opportunities and small business services available to them.

BOSS will showcase a variety of business opportunities available to entrepreneurs, including franchise opportunities; businesses for sale, online, home-based businesses and network-marketing companies. Several sponsor organizations will also be available, offering valuable advice and services to prospective business owners on developing and financing their own business idea. The conference is ideal for individuals who currently run a small business -- or aspire to -- find the ideas, products and services to help them build their business successfully.

A distinct feature of BOSS will be the educational workshops geared toward teaching prospective entrepreneurs how to start, market and run a successful business venture. According to statistics, approximately 80 percent of new businesses fail within the first three years of starting. The workshops are aimed at helping participants avoid becoming part of this statistic, Kobrin said.

Among the speakers include television personality Dr. Letitia Wright, who will tape her nationally syndicated cable show, "The Wright Place," from the Expo. Holman, a successful entrepreneur, PR and marketing consultant and trainer.
