Unisys has integrated WebIntelligence(R), the internet business intelligence solution from Business Objects, into its EIM solution, allowing federal government customers to access, analyze, and share agency-wide information to improve government efficiency and decision making. With this alliance, Unisys becomes a Business Objects Certified Consulting Partner.

As a result of current world events and increased public demands, federal agencies face heightened requirements to improve communications within their agencies, with state and local government agencies, as well as with the public. They need readily available performance metrics Performance metrics are measures of an organizations activities and performance. Performance metrics should support a range of stakeholder needs from customers, shareholders to employees [1]. , as well as the ability to share this information to a targeted constituency. The partnership between Unisys and Business Objects will help federal customers meet these performance-oriented requirements through the use of business intelligence.

The Unisys EIM solution allows federal departments, agencies and sub-agencies to unify islands of information and legacy applications by providing an integrated view of the applications and data. WebIntelligence provides users with powerful query, reporting, and analysis capabilities for this unified data.

"Unisys is committed to delivering on our e-Government vision of `Unify and Simplify' by providing our customers with solutions that solve agency challenges," said Ira Kirsch kirsch
