Baan Certifies BusinessObjects as Providing Proven Decision

Support Functionality for Baan IV Enterprise Applications

The certification also establishes Business Objects as a certified member of the Baan Certified Application Provider Program (BaanCAPPS).

Baan's certification of BusinessObjects, the industry's leading tool for enterprise query, reporting, and online analytical processing (OLAP), followed testing earlier this month at a Baan customer site. Testing focused around BusinessObjects access to the following Baan IV modules: -0-

--   Inventory control
--   Location control
--   Lot control
--   Purchase order control
--   Replenishment order control

The positive test results and subsequent BaanCAPPS membership show that BusinessObjects provides its users with an accurate, operational interface to gain business intelligence from data stored in Baan enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications.

Business Objects currently has seven certified rapid deployment templates (RDTs) available for Baan IV b2. These RDTs help customers quickly deploy BusinessObjects on top of existing Baan IV applications. Business Objects is currently working on additional RDTs for Baan IV modules including finance, manufacturing, distribution, and transportation.
