The opening of Business Objects Espana is in response to the rapidly growing worldwide demand for its flagship product BusinessObjects, the world's leading integrated query, reporting, and OLAP tool. Customers in Spain include Airtel, Xunta de Galicia The Xunta de Galicia is the political bureaucracy for the autonomous community of Galicia in Spain. According to the Galician Statute of Autonomy, it consists of the president, the vice-president (if necessary), and the specialized ministers (Conselleiros). , Retevision, and Banco Guipuzcoano.

This new subsidiary in Spain is the latest addition to Business Objects' growing list of direct sales and support locations. In the spring of this year, the company announced Business Objects Nordic AB in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as new offices in North America and distributors in Latin America and Asia Pacific.
