Business Objects Names Deborah Byron Senior Vice President of Human Resources; Dynamic Leader Will Focus on Attracting and Developing Top Talent to Support Company's Growth.


SAN JOSE, Calif. & PARIS -- Business Objects (Nasdaq:BOBJ)(Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250 - BOB), the world's leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced that it has appointed Deborah Byron to the position of senior vice president, human resources. In this role, Byron will manage worldwide human resources operations, and focus on programs designed to support the company's continued growth by attracting and retaining the top talent in the industry. Byron will be based in San Jose, California, and will report to John Schwarz, chief executive officer of Business Objects.

Byron comes to Business Objects with a strong track record in human resources management. Most recently, Byron served as the vice president of administration for the law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. In her role there, Byron led the human resources function, expanding training and career development programs, managing attorney and partner-recruiting strategies, and consulting on compensation and organizational development. Before Wilson Sonsini, she was the vice president of human resources for the California State Automobile Association where she led the full range of human resources operations for California, Nevada, and Utah.
