Multi-City Tour Will Demonstrate How to Deploy E-Business (Electronic-BUSINESS) Doing business online. The term is often used synonymously with e-commerce, but e-business is more of an umbrella term for having a presence on the Web.

Intelligence Technologies to Gain Competitive Advantage

Business Objects (Nasdaq:BOBJ BOBJ Business Objects SA ), the world's leading provider of integrated enterprise decision support tools, today announced a series of seminars on deploying e-business intelligence applications with IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) .

The seven-city tour will demonstrate how companies can use extranets to extend information access beyond the boundaries of the organization.

Attendees of the half-day sessions will hear from IBM and Business Objects executives and walk away with an e-business intelligence information kit. The presentations will focus on how to leverage extranet and business intelligence technologies to gain a competitive edge and improve relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers.

Executives from Business Objects and IBM will present on topics including "Turning Data into Dollars" and "10 Critical Success Factors for Delivering E-Business Intelligence." The two companies will also present an integrated product demonstration featuring:

     integrated query, reporting, and online analytical processing
     (OLAP) solution for the web

--   IBM Visual Warehouse and DB2 Universal Database -- the company's
     scaleable warehouse infrastructure for supplying current, clean,

     relational database manager
