Business Objects (Nasdaq:BOBJ BOBJ Business Objects SA ), the world's leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced that it has appointed J. Y. Pook to the position of vice president, Asia-Pacific.

Based in the Singapore office, Pook will oversee the Asia-Pacific operations of Business Objects and focus on building the business intelligence market in the region. Pook's appointment underscores the company's commitment to investing in Asia-Pacific, and making business intelligence a key strategic initiative for companies throughout the region.
