Tubby, 38, who worked in the local council finance department until three years ago, was previously the course's financial controller. He was involved in the negotiations that led to Northern Racing taking over the track. He says: "As a racing man, it was a fulfilment of an ambition to become the manager of my 'home' racecourse.
