The two companies had previously announced the formation of a cooperative technology and business development agreement in February 2001.

The combined solution integrates BMC Software's security management solution, CONTROL-SA(R), with Business Layers' eProvision Day One(TM) application to ensure that employees and business partners are given the right digital resources from "day one", effectively guaranteeing that these resources remain available to core constituencies throughout business changes.
