Business Layers announced today that eProvisionware(TM), their directory-based eProvisioning solution, will support the Active Directory(TM) directory service of the Microsoft (R) Windows(R) 2000 Server operating system See network operating system. . This will allow users to streamline the provisioning of digital resources by integrating processes with information about people, machines and applications stored in Active Directory.

By leveraging Active Directory services, Business Layers' eProvisionware is able to access data about an organization's entire infrastructure and use this data to drive the provisioning process. eProvisionware addresses the business challenge of handling employee change management effectively, by streamlining and automating the provisioning of digital resources ("eProvisioning") associated with employee changes. Digital resources addressed by eProvisionware are any type of IT infrastructure components that reside within a company Intranet or on its Extranet, and which individuals need to have access to in order to accomplish business tasks.
