The Meyer Memorial Trust has made the following grants: $50,000 to Goodwill Industries of Lane County to renovate space for activities for adults with disabilities; and $5,000 to the Center for Community Counseling in Eugene for technical assistance to develop a long-term funding plan.

The Chambers Family Foundation in Eugene has given $2,000 to the Friends of Buford Park and Mt. Pisgah's Volunteer Involvement Project.

The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies has donated $250 to SCAR/Jasper Mountain's SAFE Center to support a birthday party and assistance program for at-risk children.

Pearl Buck Center in Eugene has received the following: $15,000 from Levi Strauss & Co. for the families with special needs preschool food program; $25,000 from the Spirit Mountain Community Fund to help buy production equipment; $4,000 from the Eugene Active 20-30 Club Foundation for eight preschool scholarship; $2,100 worth of books from the First Book Northwest Project; and $1,670 from the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary for the families with special needs program.

Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation has donated $5,000 to SCAR/Jasper Mountain and $1,500 to the Lowell High School. The donations are part of the company's Weyerhaeuser Active Volunteer Employees program in which the foundation makes grants to agencies where Weyerhaeuser employees volunteer their time. At SCAR/Jasper Mountain, an agency that serves abused children, Weyerhaeuser employees painted the exterior of a school addition. As part of a Lowell High School program, the Weyerhaeuser employees helped remove harmful fish from Dexter Lake.
