Logan International Airport (IATA: BOS, ICAO: KBOS, FAA LID: BOS) in the East Boston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, United States (and partly in the Town of Winthrop, Massachusetts), is one on May 1, 1995. Business Express Airlines currently operates 125 daily departures to 27 northeast cities and Canada. Beginning May 1, 1995 the airline will increase service to both Bangor and Portland, Maine Portland is the largest city in the U.S. state of Maine, with a 2004 population of 63,882. Portland is Maine's cultural, social and economic capital. Tourists are drawn to Portland's historic Old Port district along Portland Harbor, which is at the mouth of the Fore River and part from its hub at Logan with a combination of seventy passenger Avro RJ-70 jets and 34 passenger Saab 340 aircraft. The addition of this service will allow Delta Air Lines and its Delta Connection partner to continue as the leading air carrier in both Portland and Bangor. The airline will also add an additional round-trip departure between Logan and Washington's National Airport with 34 passenger Saab 340 aircraft, bringing the total number of roundtrips to five.
