His responsibilities will expand to include the Cafe Yumm!'s new site at Oakway Center, scheduled to open in June. His administrative duties include staff training and purchasing. Hixson was previously employed by Oasis stores as the beverage manager. Lindie Champ and Deanna Quimby have been appointed as rural development managers for USDA Rural Development in Oregon. They will both be responsible for all rural single family housing programs in their areas. Champ, who has worked for USDA Rural since 1984, will be responsible for the Roseburg office which serves Douglas, Coos and Curry counties. Quimby, who has been with USDA since 1991, will manage the Eugene office providing coverage to Lane, Linn and Benton counties. KUDOS Susan Ban, director of ShelterCare, has been named to the Lane Transit District board of directors. She will represent LTD subdistrict 4, which includes the Ferry Street Bridge area, part of River Road, and the town of Coburg. View Design Inc. of Eugene has received a design award in the 2002 Summit Creative Awards competition in the category of logo and trademark design. Cathie Twomey Bellamy has been named Sports Business Woman of the Year by the James H. Warsaw Sports Marketing Center at the University of Oregon. The award honors Bellamy for her success as owner, coach and motivator of the Eugene Running Club, which works with masters athletes. Adlib Advertising Agency in Eugene has received a Telly Award for advertising excellence in television with a commercial for McGrath's Fish House.
