PEOPLE

Janet Anderson has been named director of the Lane Community College Foundation in Eugene. For the past 11 years, she has been in charge of leadership giving and major gifts at United Way of Lane County. She succeeds Joe Farmer, who has retired.

Brian Lamb and Sal Collura have joined Pacific Benefit Consultants/Eugene Insurance in Eugene as shareholders. Lamb specializes in commercial property insurance. Collura specializes in life and health insurance.

Shannon Dawson has joined ArtLight Studios in Eugene as studio coordinator. Dawson has a background in the film and video industry. Also, Chrystal Otto joins ArtLight's newest location inside Reed & Cross in Eugene. Her background is in Web design and Internet marketing.

KUDOS

The Convention and Visitors Association of Lane County Oregon has announced the following new members to its board of directors for two-year terms: Robb Dilger, of United Airlines, as transportation representative; Darrall Imhoff, of the McKenzie River Conference Center, as the McKenzie Valley representative; Mike Gillette, of Pacific 9 Travelodge in Springfield, and Tucker Davies, of Eugene Moving & Storage, as the board's at-large representatives.

Valley River Inn in Eugene has been recognized by the Oregon Society of Association Management with the Excellence in Hospitality award. The award acknowledges exceptional service and/or hospitality to OSAM.

Laurie Brown, of Drs. Fine, Hoffman, and Packer in Eugene, has been recognized by the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators with the William E. Rose Jr. Pinnacle award honoring excellence in Medicare billing practices.

Joe Softich, food distribution manager for Catholic Community Services in Eugene, has been recognized by the Oregon Food Bank with the Hunger Buster Award. The award is presented for extraordinary support of the statewide network of food banks.

Dr. Kelly McDermott has bought the dental practice of Dr. Charles Wright at 2440 Willamette St., Eugene. McDermott was previously in practice in Springfield for seven years. Her phone number is 686-9100.
